bands like this aren't supposed to sound this heavy live, you expect them to meander and faulter at the last hurdle, or as it's the original dino line up, maybe wind each other up too much to actually pull it together.
there's no getting away from the fact that macis is the sort of guitar player that will leave you in awe and that's a good job. the forum is like a set from 80's classic 'escape from new york'.
the stage show is non existant save for a few spotlights that ocasionally blind audience members. this aside, if you'd wanted a stage show you would have gone to see motley crue. dinosaur have a handfull of amps and
that's it.
macis is the only member that moves, hair swaying like a sail in a storm while stamping on distortion and wah wah's oblivious to the masses infront of him.
there's still room for dinosaur even though many would consider them a thing of the past. this date was only supposed to be a one off yet they're playing here again tomorrow. obviously there's more life in them yet.

it's an early start as they're swanning off to glastonburry first thing in the morning and even rockstar's need all the sleep they can get before they rough it at a festival. having been away for the last couple of months or so, there's no time for the processed beats of a band that have gotten bored with touring.
as if they were orphans of a manchester scene that died 10yrs ago, kasabian have taken all the elements that made their forefathers great and reinvented it adding a freshness that febreeze would love to patent and flog to aspiring wannabee's.
none of the manc bands were ever this good live. even ian brown who still puts out clever records can't pull it off live. tom meighan may look like he's off his tit's sacfiricing his ability to sing all for the sake of having a great time but he can still deliver the goods. vocals are often the first thing to suffer in the live scenario but not here. he's having a good time and so are we.
a new tune played called 'the stunt man' proves that record number one was no fluke. go see this band before the only places they're playing are soulless arena's jammed full of kev's wearing pub shoe's

the chance to see real hardcore doesn't come often. the chance to see it where people are hungry for it even rarer. so only doing 4 dates in the uk means that your privaliged to see terror.
lets face it, terror aren't the abismal 'my chemical romance' so are never going to be a huge crowd puller even in most major cities. a lot of people travelled to this show, not just the band and from the outcome, everyone was happy to.
4 local(ish) support bands meant you made sure you had your monies worth but with no disrespect, they weren't needed. terror were blinding. tight, heavy and
savagely brutal.
'this is your stage' announced karl vogal the moment he stept onto it. no other invitations were needed. security gaurds that were minutes before hand quite happy to make their presence known, fled like veggies at a spit roast. the arts centre was desimated. all the 'hits' were played and then some.

desperately average is tonights show. 'say hello to sunshine' isn't a bad record, it's certainly better than their first but live finch are just another emo band and they'd hate that.
pint sized describes not only their size but also the enthusiasm they play with. nate barcalow should see someone about getting a stage personality, yes he runs up and down like a 5yr old who's just seen iron maidens 'live after death' video but he also alienates himself from the audience as he doesn't interact with them and by no means is he cool enough to do that.
aloof or just shy, whichever it is it's not enthrawling. take that and the fact
they took a meat cleaver to faith no more's 'the gentle art of making enemies' and butchered it unremoresfully makes tonight's show a missable event.
